From an early age Joe always dreamt of being an entrepreneur. Rewind to an even earlier age and spitting firewood was always a way of life. In college, he earned his construction degree, and created a renovation business and even tried his hand at the beef jerky industry.
One day after coming back early from a snowmobile trip, he came across Axe Throwing being televised. After some research on its recent rise, and some googling of some local axe throwing facilities, it occurred to Joe that this was exactly the type of new recreation and nightlife that Litchfield County needed!
Days of research quickly turned into a foreseeable possibility. In February of 2019, Litchfield County Axe House became the 4th Connecticut Axe Throwing company, the first mobile Axe Throwing trailer in the state, and the first nationally sanctioned WTAL facility in the state. Joe is living his dream!
Christopher is an avid car enthusiast, snowmobiler, angler and fabricator. Like Co-Owner Joe Kucia, he has always dreamt of owning his own business. He never realized it would be an axe throwing facility or even anything axe related! Chris started his love hate relationship with wood at a young age, cutting and stacking the many cords of wood his family burned each winter.
In high school he had a love of skateboarding and ramp building (better at the ramp building than actual skateboarding). He went to Wyotech Technical Institute and received a degree in automotive repair, welding and metal fabrication. This experience really opened up his eyes and helped to grow his love of cars and anything mechanical. He prides himself on being able to fabricate or create anything he sets his mind to. Chris is a jack of all trades and not afraid to try anything except for writing his own bio!
Jen is athletic and loves sports! After experiencing LCAH’s mobile trailer in her backyard for her birthday party, she knew getting involved in our company was something she wanted to explore. Having played and coached sports most of her life, axe coaching was a perfect fit. Jen is loving coaching so far and it has been fun and rewarding for her! Jen lives in Bristol, CT.
